Sol Yacht: A Performance-First Refit

Sol was losing charters to faster, sharper vessels. Its hull drag had increased, efficiency had dropped, and its exterior no longer reflected the quality its owner knew Sol could deliver. Years of steady use had left marine growth on the hull and dulled the stainless fittings. In Dubai’s charter market, that’s enough to lose bookings. Our brief: restore Sol’s speed, sharpen her presentation, and return it to competitive standard.

CONDITION REVIEW

Our assessment began from the deck down. The exterior finish had dulled, stainless fittings needed restoration, and the presentation lacked uniformity. Inside, ageing fabrics, dim lighting, and worn surfaces reduced the yacht’s sense of comfort and quality.
Instead of minor touch-ups, we planned a full interior and exterior rebuild, one that would restore Cali’s charter-ready presence and bring her back to market standards.

HULL AND DECK WORK

The hull was stripped, cleaned, and smoothed before receiving a fresh antifouling coat to protect against drag and marine growth. Alignment and finishing followed, restoring a balanced shape and steady performance.

Every stainless-steel element, from rails to deck fittings, was polished by hand until the reflections ran clear. The transformation gave Cali a crisp, uniform appearance that stood out once again in port.
We also refined the deck layout to improve workflow and visual flow. Small adjustments in fitting placement created a cleaner look and better use of available space, an important improvement for daily charter operations

EXTERIOR FINISH & DETAILING

Once major surface work was complete, attention turned to presentation. Deck trims, steps, and fixtures were cleaned and sealed to match the new coating. Each detail was brought up to the same visual standard as the hull.

The result was a bright, uniform finish, a sign of care in both preparation and long-term protection. Every visible surface now reflected light evenly, producing a cohesive look across the entire yacht beautifully.

INTERIOR REFIT

Inside, Cali’s spaces were rebuilt for both comfort and durability. Custom-branded cushions and bed covers were added, including new luxury carpets. Galley surfaces were upgraded with Corian for strength and easy upkeep.

Working on wiring and lighting we improved brightness and focused on refining the overall ambience. We used new materials and lighter tones, introducing a sense of space and calm across the interiors.

FINAL DETAILING & HANDOVER

The closing stage focused on consistency. Each section of the yacht was inspected, cleaned, and fine-tuned for presentation. Fixtures were aligned, upholstery checked, and all visible details reviewed to ensure a cohesive result.

The finished vessel reflected our signature approach, precise, methodical, and built for reliability on Dubai’s waters.

BACK IN OPERATION

Cali Yacht has returned to service fully restored. Her hull is polished, her interiors refreshed, and her systems ready for continuous charter duty.

The Cali refit was a testament to our mission at Alfa Trust: to restore yachts that perform flawlessly, last longer, and maintain an exceptional standard expected of Dubai’s leading charter fleet.
